IDOT is Resurfacing IL Rt 64 

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is resurfacing a western portion of IL Rte. 64, from Randall Road in St. Charles, thru Campton Hills, to IL Rte. 47 in Lily Lake. Work is scheduled to begin May 13. Rt. 64 will remain open to traffic throughout the project, but be alert for lane closures, construction flaggers and electronic message boards to manage traffic patterns.

2019 Resurfacing Program Kane County

Burlington Road will be resurfaced from Burlington Road at IL Route 64 north to IL Route 47. Work will consist of resurfacing and curb and gutter replacement.

Burlington Road will remain open during construction, but may include temporary daily lane closures and flaggers, from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Work Zone Safety Alert

Drivers in project areas should be prepared to reduce their speed, exercise caution, watch for construction workers and construction vehicles entering or leaving the site, and obey flaggers and other traffic control devices within the work zone. Drivers should expect delays and may want to add additional time to their commutes and consider the use of alternate routes while this work is completed. KDOT reminds drivers that is illegal to talk on a cell phone or text while driving through a highway construction work zone. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375.
